In my work, each selected landscape demands multiple visits at varying times of the day, under different lighting conditions, and in diverse weather conditions. This meticulous approach helps me identify the optimal conditions for subsequent painting. It’s crucial to arrive at the chosen location earlier than the scheduled time to allow ample time for working on large areas of the canvas. Painting outdoors is indispensable if you want to authentically capture the impressions, emotions, and even the actual colors of the landscape in your subsequent studio work. While photos and videos can assist in adding details, they are not sufficient on their own.
